INTERVIEW: Butcher speaks after brace

INTERVIEW: Butcher speaks after brace
Matt Butcher says Woking are 'trying to take the positives' after they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Southport.

Butcher, 18, joined the Cards on loan from Bournemouth at the end of February and has since made seven appearances, operating in central midfield. He bagged his first goals for the club on Saturday, the first with a well-taken finish from the edge of the penalty area and another with a volley.

Jonny Margetts and Craig Westcarr grabbed a goal each in the last 15 minutes to extend Woking's winless run.

Butcher remained upbeat afterwards with the team and his performance. You can listen to his interview with BBC Surrey's Gary Smith below:

Cards finish in top-half after win over Eastleigh

John Goddard scored the winner on what was likely to be his last game for the club to end Woking's season in 12th place.

Keiran Murtagh put the Cards ahead in the 13th minute and Goddard added another two minutes later. Matt Tubbs got one back for Eastleigh in the second half but by then their slim play-off hopes were over.

Off the back of a second away win in a row, Garry Hill made three changes to the starting XI. Giuseppe Sole, Joey Jones and John Goddard came in to try and end
