Dan Holman scores four as Woking lose again

Attendance: 2951 (102 Woking)

Former loanee Dan Holman came back to haunt Woking bagging two goals in each half to make it six league defeats in a row.

A 95th minute Eastleigh winner in mid-week snatched a valuable point away from Woking and when Garry Hill might have thought things couldn't get worse, a trip to league leaders Cheltenham followed.

Hill freshened up the side from Tuesday's defeat with five changes. Joe Quigley, Jake Caprice, Matt Robinson came in as well as Chris Arthur and Bruno Andrade, who both returned from injury. Kieran Murtagh was suspended following his red card at Eastleigh.

For the opening half hour, Woking looked the more likely side. Matt Butcher, Andrade and John Goddard all had efforts at the Robins goal, the latter shaved the post with one of his.

Following this good start, typically, Cheltenham took the lead in the 32nd minute. Holman volleyed home on the turn inside the Woking box.

The ex-Colchester frontman, who the Robins signed him from in January after his successful loan with Woking came to an end, doubled his and Cheltenham's lead six minutes later with an instinctive finish from six yards.

Mark Ricketts made a good clearance off the line after the break but Holman headed in for his hat-trick before the hour.

And he got his fourth five minutes later, slotting under Jake Cole.

The Cards now have two weeks before their next league game at home against rock bottom Kidderminster. Then on Easter Monday Woking travel to Welling United, who also look like they will be relegated.
